Wes Straub

Owner / Creative Strategist / Project Manager

As the founder of Inspire Studios as well as the company’s overall Creative Lead, Wes is a visual communications specialist with a strong focus on brand development. Over his ten year career, he has been at the forefront of creating highly successful branding initiatives for Brahma Compression, Solex Thermal Science and EMIT Technologies. Firmly planting roots as one of Calgary’s top design talents, Wes has also been called upon by large agencies such as Trigger and Zero Gravity in a consulting role to provide creative support and training.

Wesley Pohl

Creative Strategist

With over twenty years in the business, Wes is the Creative Director and designer for his Calgary studio, Wesley Pohl Design, as well as creative strategist, designer and illustrator for Inspire Studios. Wes has extensive corporate communications experience, and has earned a reputation with his clients as a valued creative resource. His client list is impressive that includes Enbridge, Alberta Treasury Branch, City of Calgary, Shell Canada, Conoco Phillips, and many more. Wes has developed and been involved in identity development and branding initiatives throughout his career, including the Federal Government’s Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada export brand “Quality is in Our Nature” which is in use world-wide.

Marshall Gill

Brand Strategist and Creative Advisor

Formerly one of Calgary’s most recognized creative talents with large agencies such as Karo and now working as an informal partner to Inspire Studios, all the while owning and operating Cabo San Lucas, Mexico’s leading creative agency, Adeas, Marshall has successfully created and managed brands for the destination’s largest resorts, land developers and commercial businesses such as Grupo Questro, Hotel California and Casa Dorada. He has been instrumental in the success of Inspire Studios over its history, providing creative insight and support for Inspire’s largest branding projects for the likes of Brahma Compression and EMIT Technologies.

Steve Thompson

Web Development Lead

In the role of Inspire’s Web Development lead, Steve is one of Calgary’s most proficient and experienced web developers. During his ten years in the industry, Steve has led the development of complex sites for the Calgary Film Festival, Solex Thermal Science, Brahma Compression and more. Steve has also been involved on a consulting basis with Calgary’s largest agencies, such as Trigger and Rare Method, providing development strategy and management for some of their most complex web initiatives.
